Meet Rick Hardeman
Rick Hardeman has been immersed in music since the 1960s when he cut his musical teeth in assorted Rock 'n Roll "garage bands". He honed his guitar technique in the 70s and 80s, inspired by the music of James Taylor, Paul Simon, Neil Young, Bob Dylan, The Eagles, and, of course, The Beatles.
Armed with a master's degree in Composition and Music Theory from Florida State University, Rick performed locally in Sarasota area nightclubs before heading West, where he worked in some of the best southern California clubs and L.A. studios.
Rick's style is a mellow blend of the classic singer-songwriter influences of his youth - a unique and varied sound that has captivated audiences on both sides of the country.
Now back home in Sarasota, Rick's solid musical training and lifetime of experience underpin a down-to-earth teaching style that makes learning fun. He teaches a variety of acoustic guitar styles, including "finger-picking" and strumming of most folk, rock, and country styles. His musical insight and love of music are contagious. You'll be glad you called!
